HENGILL, ICELAND — Researchers are hailing a potential game-changer for climate change after successfully converting carbon to rock at a geothermal power plant in Iceland. The project could help to reduce global warming by burying the waste CO2 produced from burning fossil fuels, the Guardian reported. Scientists at the Hellisheidi geothermal power plant converted carbon dioxide into the volcanic rock basalt, according to a study published in the journal Science. The researchers pumped 230 tons of CO2 into rock 500 meters underground, dissolving the gas in water to prevent it from escaping. More than 95 percent of the gas turned to stone within two years, speeding up a natural process that takes hundreds or thousands of years, the Guardian reported. A potential problem for the ...

To take a brief tour of the more prominent contenders, it helps to zero in on the “habitable zone” around their stars. This is the band of congenial temperatures for planetary orbits -- not too close and not too far. Too close and the planet is fried (we’re looking at you, Venus). Too far and it’s in deep freeze. But settle comfortably into the habitable zone, and your planet could have liquid water on its surface -- just right. Goldilocks has never been ...

The US economy has spawned a vicious cycle that few people are talking about, but it's one that affects us all. You, right now, are likely caught in that ugly loop. In fact, it's what may one day send you packing from your job. It's called technology-enabled disruption. And the worst part? (There's a worse part!?) You contributed to it in a big way, explains Robert S. Kaplan. Advancements in retail technology gave consumers the power to shop smarter and put pricing pressure on manufacturers. That pressure is "rippling back, through impacts on workers and their wages, and maybe encouraging businesses to increasingly replace workers with technology," says Kaplan. In a nutshell: every time a consumer finds a bargain, a robot gets a job. Read more at BigThink.com: http://bigthink.com/videos/r...

NEW YORK • How long can this nirvana last for investors? The stock market keeps ticking methodically higher into record territory, and the Dow Jones industrial average closed above 23,000 for the first time on Wednesday. It's been nearly 16 months since S&P 500 index funds had a pullback of even 5 percent over the course of days or weeks, the longest such streak in two decades. Many analysts expect the market to keep climbing, at least for the next year. The global economy is improving, corporate profits are rising and inflation remains low but not so low that it makes economists nervous. But as investors learned so painfully 30 years ago, markets can shift quickly. On Oct. 19, 1987, the S&P 500 plummeted 20.5 percent to wipe out what had been sizeable gains for the year. Virtu...

Shoe exports to Russia increased by 500 percent "Last month we increased our exports to Russia to $ 6.3 million, an increase of 500 percent compared to the same period of the previous year," said Cetin, Vice President of the Union of Leather and Leather Products Exporters of Istanbul. said. According to a statement made by Istanbul Leather and Leather Goods Exporters' Association (İDMİB), Turkey's shoe exports to Russia amounted to 6.3 million dolars in May, an increase of 500 percent compared to the same period last year. Exports to Russia in January-May period also increased by 96.7 percent. İDMİB Vice-President Hüseyin Çetin stated that until 2013, they made a spectacular return to Russia, the biggest market of Turkish footwear sector. Cetin reminded that they have lost big blood in the market in the last 3 years due to the economic contraction in Russia and the subsequent plane crisis, and they stressed that they opened a new page in trade with 2017. Cetin pointed out that the Russian market has a critical role for the leather and footwear sector, he added: "We are the country with the biggest production potential of Europe on the shoe and Russia is the biggest market. We can reach 129 million USD in 2013, which can be called the golden age in 2013. But with the contraction of the Russian economy and the subsequent aircraft crisis, our exports last year reached 28.7 million Fortunately, the end of the troubled period for the sector has begun, and with the year 2017, exports to Russia started to rise again.  In the first 5 months of this year, we reached almost 28.6 million dollars of exports which we made almost last year. In May we signed a hard-to-break record. Last month we increased our exports to Russia by $ 500 million, an increase of $ 500 million over the same period last year. I believe that the positive reflection of exports in the coming period of the synergy that is caught in the Russian market will continue and we will break the record of $ 129 million in 2013 next year. Alien Mega Structure Found October 2015 KIC 8462852 Welcome to Esoteric Detective. My name is Emma. KIC 8462852, or simply known as Tabby's Star, is a strange star that has made headlines this week, by science leaders, as potential evidence of an ancient alien mega structure. Those talking about it, include famous physicist Michio Kaku who recently said in October two thousand and 15, that it could be the biggest find in the last 500 years. Stay tuned as we countdown 6 things we know right now about Tabby's Star. Number 6. The star has an artificial signature. That is, the light that is analysed coming from the faraway star has a signature that there are enormous objects blocking the light from the star. The objects are also blocking the light in a way that is consistent with something artificial, or something scientists do not understand. Jason Wright, an astronomer from Penn State University, suggested that we might be able to detect distant extraterrestrial civilizations, by looking for enormous technological artefacts orbiting other stars. Wright and his co-authors say the unusual star’s light pattern is consistent with a “swarm of mega structures,” perhaps stellar-light collectors, technology designed to catch energy from the star. “When I saw the data, I was fascinated by how crazy it looked,” Jason Wright said. “Aliens should always be the very last hypothesis you consider, but this looked like something you would expect an alien civilization to build.” Number 5. Scientists are hoping to point the Very Large Array radio telescope in New Mexico at Tabby's Star as early as January two thousand and 16. They will start looking and analysing any radio signals from Tabby's Star. Or even sooner. Scientists will also network with other radio telescopes worldwide, in order to watch Tabby's Star, which is no doubt now one of the most watched places in the night sky. Number 4. How the massive objects circling Tabby's Star behave, has never been seen before. The light pattern suggests that the strange objects, massive in nature, are circling in a very tight formation. That would be expected if the star were young. But the star is not young. Scientists who have studied the data know this because of the light signatures. That is, if it were young, it would have an excess amount of infrared light. But there is not an excess of infrared light. Number 3. The mass of objects that encircle the star are massive. Tabby's Star is twice the size of our own sun, and the objects that are moving around Tabby's Star are large enough to block out sometimes 20 percent of the light that is admitted by the star. If indeed the objects are some kind of alien mega structure, then the structure would have to be massive. Scientists have gone over the data, and ruled out asteroids, planets, and anything else known that could orbit and block the starlight, in the way that it is happening to Tabby's Star. So far, the idea that massive artificial objects are around Tabby's Star is gaining great momentum and excitement in the scientific community. Number 2. The science world is getting excited. Famous scientist Michio Kaku said recently, “This could be the biggest story in the past five-hundred years,” Kaku said that “this star is breaking all the rules” and that “we would have to rewrite astronomy text books” to think anything different. “We’re talking about what’s called a Type Two Civilization that could build a gigantic Dyson sphere possibly bigger than Jupiter to absorb starlight” to produce energy, which Kaku admits “is right out of science fiction.” The concept of the Dyson sphere was the result of a thought experiment by physicist and mathematician Freeman Dyson, when he theorized that all technological civilizations constantly increased their demand for energy. He reasoned that if human civilization expanded energy demands long enough, there would come a time when it demanded the total energy output of the star. Dyson proposed a system of orbiting structures designed to intercept and collect all energy produced by a star. Dyson's proposal did not detail how such a system would be constructed, but focused only on issues of energy collection, on the basis that such a structure could be distinguished by its unusual emission spectrum in comparison to a star music: "Reslove" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/

A potential problem for the technique is that it requires 25 tons of water for every ton of buried CO2. However, researchers said seawater can be used, which is abundant at coastal sites, the Guardian reported. The project is seen as an improvement on existing carbon capture and storage methods that store CO2 as a gas, causing concern about potential leaks. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets. The average person accesses just 5 percent of their brain capacity on a daily basis. Five percent doesn’t seem like enough to me. What if you could increase that number? Some people have figured it out. In fact, after speaking to the head of the Harvard Brain Institute I learned that high achievers use 20 percent of their brain capacity and Olympic gold medalists can access 40 percent. What is it that these elite performers have that the typical person doesn’t have? It's so simple. Yet, nearly everyone fails to do it. -- Thank you for watching this video. Visit www.GonzoKlutz.com for more great videos like this. The discovery of a super-Earth-sized planet orbiting a sun-like star brings us closer than ever to finding a twin of our own watery world. But NASA’s Kepler space telescope has captured evidence of other potentially habitable planets amid the sea of stars in the Milky Way galaxy. Goldilocks has never been more relevant. Scientists have, in fact, taken to calling this water-friendly region the “Goldilocks zone.” The zone can be a wide band or a narrow one, and nearer the star or farther, depending on the star’s size and energy output. For small, red-dwarf stars, habitable zone planets might gather close, like marshmallow-roasting campers around the fire. For gigantic, hot stars, the band must retreat to a safer distance. About a dozen habitable zone planets in the Earth-size ballpark have been discovered so far -- that is, 10 to 15 planets between one-half and twice the diameter of Earth, depending on how the habitable zone is defined and allowing for uncertainties about some of the planetary sizes. The new discovery, Kepler-452b, fires the planet hunter’s imagination because it is the most similar to the Earth-sun system found yet: a planet at the right temperature within the habitable zone, and only about one-and-a-half times the diameter of Earth, circling a star very much like our own sun. The planet also has a good chance of being rocky, like Earth, its discoverers say. Kepler-452b is more similar to Earth than any system previously discovered. And the timing is especially fitting: 2015 marks the 20th anniversary of the first exoplanet confirmed to be in orbit around a typical star. But several other exoplanet discoveries came nearly as close in their similarity to Earth. Before this, the planet Kepler-186f held the “most similar” distinction (they get the common moniker, “Kepler,” because they were discovered with the Kepler space telescope). About 500 light-years from Earth, Kepler-186f is no more than 10 percent larger than Earth, and sails through its star’s habitable zone, making its surface potentially watery. But its 130-day orbit carries it around a red-dwarf star that is much cooler than our sun and only half its size. Thus, the planet is really more like an “Earth cousin,” says Thomas Barclay of the Bay Area Environmental Research Institute at NASA’s Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, California, a co-author of the paper announcing the discovery in April 2014. Kepler-186f gets about one-third the energy from its star that Earth gets from our sun. And that puts it just at the outside edge of the habitable zone. Scientists say that if you were standing on the planet at noon, the light would look about as bright as it does on Earth an hour before sunset. That doesn’t mean the planet is bereft of life, although it doesn’t mean life exists there, either. Before Kepler-186f, Kepler-62f was the exoplanet known to be most similar to Earth. Like the new discovery, Kepler-62f is a “super Earth,” about 40 percent larger than our home planet. But, like Kepler-186f, its 267-day orbit also carries it around a star that is cooler and smaller than the sun, some 1,200 light-years away in the constellation Lyra. Still, Kepler-62f does reside in the habitable zone. Kepler-62f’s discovery was announced in April 2013, about the same time as Kepler-69c, another super Earth -- though one that is 70 percent larger than our home planet. That’s the bad news; astronomers are uncertain about the planet’s composition, or just when a “super Earth” becomes so large that it diminishes the chance of finding life on its surface. That also moves it farther than its competitors from the realm of a potential Earth twin. The good news is that Kepler-69c lies in its sun’s habitable zone, with a 242-day orbit reminiscent of our charbroiled sister planet, Venus. Its star is also similar to ours in size with about 80 percent of the sun’s luminosity. Its planetary system is about 2,700 light-years away in the constellation Cygnus. Kepler-22b also was hailed in its day as the most like Earth. It was the first of the Kepler planets to be found within the habitable zone, and it orbits a star much like our sun. But Kepler-22b is a sumo wrestler among super Earths, about 2.4 times Earth’s size. And no one knows if it is rocky, gaseous or liquid. The planet was detected almost immediately after Kepler began making observations in 2009, and was confirmed in 2011.

Steven Kotler explains the neurochemical changes during flow states that strengthen motivation, creativity and learning. "The brain produces a giant cascade of neurochemistry. You get norepinephrine, dopamine, anandamide, serotonin and endorphins. All five of these are performance enhancing neurochemicals." Kotler discusses how each amplifies intellectual and cognitive performance. Read more at BigThink.com: http://goo.gl/O8uR Follow Big Think here: YouTube: http://goo.gl/CPTsV5 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/BigThinkdotcom Twitter: https://twitter.com/bigthink Transcript: Besides neuroanatomical changes in flow there are neurochemical changes, right. The brain produces a giant cascade of neurochemistry. You get norepinephrine, dopamine, anandamide, serotonin and endorphins. All five of these are performance enhancing neurochemicals, right. So they make you faster, stronger, quicker and they do the same thing with your brain. In the front end of a flow state you take in more information, you process it more deeply meaning you process it using more parts of your brain and you process it more quickly. There’s some debate about this but it does appear that you process it more quickly. This is norepinephrine and dopamine. So when people enter a flow state they talk about feeling like they’re senses are incredibly heightened. This is the performance enhancing aspect of norepinephrine and dopamine. Where these chemicals really come in handy is how they affect motivation, creativity and learning. We’ll start with motivation. Besides being performance enhancing chemicals these are obviously all feel good drugs, right. These five chemicals are the most potent feel good drugs the brain can produce. As a result flow is considered the most addictive state on earth. Scientists don’t like the word addictive so instead they use autotelic. When something is autotelic it is an end in itself. What it means is that once an experience starts producing flow we will go extraordinarily far out of our way to get more of it which is why researchers now believe flow is the source code of intrinsic motivation. Another thing that those neurochemicals do is they augment the creative process. So creativity is always recombinantory. It’s the product of novel information, bumping into old thoughts to create something startlingly new. So if you want to amplify creativity, you want to amplify every aspect of that process. Again, the neurochemicals help. So on the front end of the flow state when you get norepinephrine and dopamine they’re tightening focus so you are taking in more information per second. So you are boosting that part of the creative process. Norepinephrine and dopamine do something else in the brain which is they lower signal to noise ratio so you detect more patterns. They jack up pattern recognition so our ability to link ideas together is also an enhancer. Taking in more information we can link it together. Anandamide which is another chemical that shows up in flow doesn’t just promote pattern recognition. It promotes lateral thinking. So pattern recognition is more or less the linking of familiar ideas together. Lateral thinking is the linking of very disparate ideas together, right. So more information per second, all kinds of pattern recognition, lateral thinking. All of it surrounds the creative process and amplifies all of it which is why, for example, studies run by my organization, the Flow Genome Project, we found creativity is increased 500 to 700 percent. To give you another example in a recent Australian study they took 42 people, gave them a very tricky brainteaser to solve, the kind that needs very creative problem solving. Nobody could solve the problem. They induced flow artificially using transcranial magnetic stimulation to basically knock out the prefrontal cortex. They induced artificial transient hypofrontality technically. As a result, 23 people solved the problem in record time. So massively amplified motivation, massively amplified creativity. The last thing flow does that’s really important is it jacks up learning. [TRANSCRIPT TRUNCATED]

Read more at BigThink.com: http://bigthink.com/videos/robert-steven-kaplan-want-to-retain-american-jobs-stop-blaming-globalization Follow Big Think here: YouTube: http://goo.gl/CPTsV5 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/BigThinkdotcom Twitter: https://twitter.com/bigthink So listen, during almost my entire lifetime globalization has been a key element of our economy. It started decades ago as many industries wound up—manufacturing in particular—off-shoring jobs to take advantage of lower labor rates in other countries. And so we lost manufacturing jobs in this country due to globalization. But the other part of globalization is increasingly the S&P 500, the 500 largest companies domiciled in the United States, are increasingly finding a larger share of their revenues and profits are coming from outside the United States. And the other part is our trade relationships, the nature of them, are changing due to globalization. I’ll take Mexico as an example. Right now, of the imports to the U.S. from Mexico, 40 percent of those imports is U.S. content. So what is that about? It means these are not just trade relationships. These are integrated supply chains and logistics that, in our judgment at the Dallas Fed, are making the U.S. more competitive, likely actually adding jobs in the United States and keeping those jobs from going elsewhere, most likely to Asia. The last part of globalization that we have to—a couple of more parts I’ll talk about is China is much bigger today than it was 10 years ago and 20 years ago, and I mean much bigger as a percentage of global GDP. China has been growing at much higher rates consistently than almost any other country in the world except for maybe India. It means they are a larger percentage of global GDP and they’re a much larger percentage of global GDP growth. Okay, what’s the impact of that? They have been—in order to get that growth, and they’ve been growing recently, about 6.5 percent. Unfortunately in order to achieve that growth they’ve been growing debt to GDP. In other words they have been leveraging in various sectors to either build infrastructure or to build capacity in many state-owned enterprises. The impact of that is they’ve got dramatic overcapacity in a number of their industries which creates global overcapacity. And so China bears watching. The world is going to have to get accustomed to lower levels of growth from China and also because of currency outflows. That has the potential, because the world is much more financially integrated, currency outflows in China, which is what happened in the first quarter of 2016, have the potential to create ripple effects and spillovers throughout the world and this happened in the first quarter of 2016 where we saw financial turmoil in China translate into rapidly tightening financial conditions globally. So those are a number of elements of globalization. What’s the point of it all? The point of it all is: you have to think about the economy in a much more global way. Globalization is likely putting downward pressure on prices because we have more overcapacity. And also our trading relationships have to be thought about differently because, particularly in this hemisphere, it’s actually helping U.S. companies become more globally competitive and therefore is likely growing jobs in the United States. So as a central banker, it’s no longer an option in thinking about U.S. monetary policy to think just about the United States. I have to understand economic conditions around the world and the inner relationships between economies and financial markets around the world because the ripple effects, the spillovers, are much more likely to happen.

REITs made modest gains in January, as investors continued to size up potential changes to the macroeconomic environment, market watchers said. The FTSE/NAREIT All REIT Index had a total return of 0.2 percent in January, while the S&P 500 index return was 1.9 percent. Total returns of the FTSE/NAREIT All Equity REIT Index were 0.2 percent in January. The FTSE NAREIT Mortgage REITs Index produced a total return of 1.6 percent. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note was flat in January. Michael Lewis, director of REIT equity research at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, said investors are eager to learn more about a number of policy issues under the new Trump administration, including possible changes to tax policy and financial services regulation and spending on infrastructure and defense. Brad Case, senior vice president for research and industry information at NAREIT, described January as a “moderately positive” month in which investors focused on growth stocks and non-U.S. stocks. REITs “were not the hot part of the market,” he said. Case agreed that investors are weighing what the leadership change in Washington, D.C. means for the macroeconomic outlook. “Investors seem to be optimistic that it will increase earnings throughout the economy,” Case said. Meanwhile, Lewis commented that interest rates “have almost taken a bit of a back seat” to supply-and-demand issues and questions about the economic outlook. “That’s probably right because in the end, the bigger driver is the fundamentals,” Lewis said. The current interest rate environment has created a positive situation for REITs, according to Case. He noted that the average dividend yield for Equity REITs at the end of January was 3.95 percent, while average dividend yields for Mortgage REITs were greater than 10 percent. Case stressed that current REIT yield spreads with U.S. Treasuries are “in a very bullish part of the range.” He said that suggests returns in the next several years could be “well into the double-digit range.” Turning to particular property segments, Case noted that timber REITs were the strongest performers during January with total returns of 3.7 percent. Although industrial REITs lost ground in January, with returns falling 6.5 percent, Case pointed out that they’ve still outperformed the broad stock market over one-year and three-year time periods. Virtually no one is predicting a repeat of "Black Monday," which was the stock market's worst day in history and happened when conditions were different from today. But several worries are circulating underneath the market's placid surface. While they may not cause a 20 percent drop in one day, they could be the spark for the market's next drop of 5 percent or more, whenever it ends up happening. Here are a few potential stumbling blocks for a stock market that's more than tripled since its 2009 bottom in the Great Recession, including a surge of 20 percent over the last 12 months: — Stocks are expensive. Even the most optimistic analysts wouldn't call the market cheap. Stock prices tend to follow the trend of corporate profits over the long term, but stocks have been rising more quickly than earnings recently. The S&P 500 is trading at 31 times its average earnings over the last 10 years, after adjusting for inflation, according to data compiled by Yale economist Robert Shiller. That's the highest level since the summer of 2001, when the dot-com bubble was deflating. By themselves, stock prices rising faster than earnings aren't enough to cause markets to buckle. The stock market stayed at or above this level of price-to-earnings for years following the summer of 1997. But they're enough to give some strategists pause. — The Fed is tightening. The Federal Reserve slashed short-term interest rates to near zero in response to the 2008 financial crisis. It also took the unprecedented step of purchasing trillions of dollars of bonds to keep rates low. Those low rates meant bonds were paying little in interest, and investors moved into stocks in search of greater returns. Now the Fed is slowly pulling back. This month it started paring back its $4.5 trillion in bond investments. And many investors expect the central bank to raise short-term interest rates at its meeting in December, which would be the third increase this year. Higher interest rates make borrowing more expensive for companies, and those bigger interest payments could erode profits, at least modestly. Some investors are even talking about the slim possibility that the Fed will raise rates more quickly than it anticipates, if inflation picks up from its current slow pace. "Our downside scenario is that inflation becomes too hot and central banks wake up to the fact that they're behind the curve," said Jon Adams, senior investment strategist at BMO Global Asset Management. — The leadership of the Fed may soon change. Janet Yellen's term as chair of the central bank expires in February, and whoever sits in the seat next will have great influence over how quickly the Fed moves. President Donald Trump said he'll likely choose from a field of five candidates, one of whom is Yellen. Many analysts and investors expect the next chair to stick to the Fed's announced schedule for bond-investment reductions, but any uncertainty could unnerve investors. — Tax reform may fail, or the dollar may jump in value. Stocks have recently received a boost from rising expectations Washington will be able to cut tax rates. Lower taxes could mean bigger profits for companies and likely launch another round of stock repurchases by businesses. But if Washington stumbles, the disappointment could drag down stocks. Strategists at Goldman Sachs say the S&P 500 may end the year at 2,650 if tax reform passes, which would be a roughly 3.5 percent gain from Tuesday's close. But if reform doesn't happen by then, the index may end the year at 2,400, down 6.3 percent from Wednesday's close of 2,561.26. If the dollar jumps in value, meanwhile, it would cut into the profits that mult

Breaking News: Anti-American NFL In Full FREAK OUT After Waking Up To The WORST News Of The Season Today Thumbanail and content: https://goo.gl/YSHRQE Please subscribe and enjoy more: https://goo.gl/AI4MyX Whatever made the National Football League think that they could get away with disrespecting the flag and those who died to protect it is long gone now. The league has seen a steady decrease in support both in ticket sales and viewership from home. That’s not even mentioning the longtime fans who have been burning jerseys and tickets and posting it on social media. If there was even a scrap of hope before that the slump was temporary, that hope must be put to death, before the league is. We’ve known for some time that the NFL and individual teams were starting to waver and put an end to the madness because of the boycott called for by conservatives, but according to Independent Journal Review, even Fox Sports is feeling the pain of a severely angered fan base: Year over year, Fox Sunday’s NFL game TV ratings have declined 7 percent and the season has only been going for six weeks. CNBC reports that an analyst said: “NFL ratings [are] weak so far. This was negatively impacted during the first 2 weeks by hurricane disruption, but is disappointing given the soft comps – if ratings do not improve materially, we see a potential headwind to domestic advertising revenues in Q2/Q3 ’18. “Twenty-First Century Fox is slated to report fiscal first-quarter earnings on Nov. 8. The company’s stock has underperformed the market this year with its shares down 7 percent in 2017 through Wednesday, compared with the S&P 500’s 14 percent return.” 1.6k SHARES Facebook Twitter Whatever made the National Football League think that they could get away with disrespecting the flag and those who died to protect it is long gone now. While ESPN and its anchors have put themselves right in the middle of the controversy, Fox Sports seems to just collateral damage. They depend on the fans wanting to know a professionals’ opinion of the game that’s currently happening and what it might mean for future games. If people don’t care about the game, they’re certainly not going to care about what former players have to say about it. Even the far left is having to admit that this problem is becoming a real and present threat to the platform that they’ve been getting so much mileage out of. According to Insta Political, a decidedly left-wing publication, there really is a problem, the NFL really is freaking out, and it’s all (you guessed it) conservatives’ fault. Republicans are claiming that the NFL is struggling big time after they have decided to [not] support the athletes who have and continue to protest the National Anthem. The truth is they are losing their fan base, which is causing an enormous drop in ratings, because Trump told his narrow-minded supporters to stop watching. Yes, they’re losing their fan base because the patriotic among us decided that we didn’t want to give our money to a business populated with those who disrespect our military and police. The fact that President Trump drew attention to it and more people listened doesn’t make us narrow-minded, it makes us, again, patriotic. And apparently, it’s working, because we’re talking about it, and so are the major networks.

Capsaicinoids and capsinoids. A potential role for weight management? A systematic review of the evidence. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22634197 ======================================= 3 Clinically Proven Foods That Increase Your Metabolism & Burn Belly Fat ======================================= Today I’m going to be giving you my top 3 foods to increase your metabolism and burn belly fat. You can add in a few key foods that will “turn on” your fat burning genes and help increase your metabolism, preserve and gain muscle, while losing belly fat. The best part is you can start to see and feel results almost immediately. So let’s get started. More Protein: One of the problems of aging is the LOSS of valuable muscle mass. Remember, muscle cells are very active and burn calories all day long - unlike fat cells. For every 10 lbs of muscle you again, you burn an extra 500+ calories all day long, doing NOTHING. Just sitting. So as we age, we need to make sure we reduce the muscle loss and if anything, lift weights to help preserve and INCREASE your muscle. And in order to do all of this, you need more protein, which can actually boost your metabolism by up to a whopping 30%1 One of the main reasons for this is that it takes more energy to digest and metabolise protein, than it does carbohydrates and fats. You want to go for foods like wild salmon, grass fed beef, turkey and hormone free chicken and eggs. Even good sources of protein powders if you’re vegetarian or vegan. A good rule with portion size is that it should be around the size of the palm of your hand, or about 20-30 grams per meal. Eat Coconut Oil Fat has many benefits because they help improve your hormones levels. However, one of the best “fat burning” fats is coconut oil. This is because coconut oil is a medium-chain triglycerides (MCT). While all other fats are LONG-chain and thus, convert to body fat faster. MCT oils go directly into your liver and get used for energy and not stored as body fat. Think of it as a fat that burns like a carbohydrate to give you more energy and faster metabolism. An additional benefit is that it helps boost your thyroid gland, which is essential to a faster metabolism. And for men, Coconut oil helps increase your muscle building, fat burning hormone - testosterone! You need about 1 or 2 tablespoons daily. You can eat it raw. If you don’t like the taste, you can also cook with it. It’s one of the few fats that are safe for cooking and heating. Drink More Water Most people are drinking their calories -- sodas, coffee drinks, alcohol, etc. The extra calories turns into body fat obviously, but because of the sugar content - they increase your insulin levels and increase BELLY FAT. Which is unhealthy and not very attractive. So I tell people to drink more water instead, to replace the these types of drinks. However, drinking water can actually boost your body’s ability to burn fat. A study published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism found that drinking water (about 2 cups/16oz) increases metabolic rate by 30 percent. The boost occurred within 10 minutes and reached a maximum 30-40 minutes after drinking. Drinking ice water, burns more calories due to the “thermogenic”, effects. Your body has to turn up your body temperature to “cool” down the ice water. Studies also suggest that drinking one or two glasses of water before a meal can fill you up so you naturally eat less. Plus, even mild dehydration will slow down your metabolism by as much as 5 percent. By the way, drinking anything with caffeine causes Or look at these: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SuTehhCuHiY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9ZwAcuJnoQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vk3-tFIFdXc ======================================== Thank you for watching.
